The Foxes section play friendly matches against other Middlesex Clubs through the year.

Who can play for the Foxes? Anybody with a Handicap Index of 8.0 to 18.0.
Activities include:
- 18 Home and away fixtures over the summer - most weeks - team of 12 - played as 6x4BBB matches - that culminate in a league final!
- A 9 a side knockout competition, The Abrey Cup - this is played as 9 singles matches at a neutral course (The Shire in 2026) - No Pressure!!
- The Middlesex team championship - for 2026 at Ashford Manor
- An internal knock out competition (Holder – Jon Rowley) - keep an eye on the Foxes notice board for the draw.
- An end of season away event, last year at Princes GC.
Notes:
You may play as many or as few games as you wish. The Captain will ask for availability for each match approximately 2 weeks in advance.
Some matches are over-subscribed but we will give every player who makes himself available an opportunity to play at some point.
Make sure you are on the WhatsApp group to find out what is happening and to indicate your availability when asked.
Matches are played mid-week – home games tee off at 13:30 usually on Wednesday. Away games can vary.
Every match is followed by an informal meal (Typically £15) – we ask all players to commit to the meal – its an important part of the Foxes tradition and allows the host club to plan.
No green fees for away matches apply at present (Ealing GC may choose to break from this tradition this season – BoooooHissss).
Matches v Ashford Manor, Grims Dyke, Bush Hill Park and Wyke Green are league matches. Winners of this mini league play off v winners of other section to win the County bragging rights.

Section subs are £5 for the season and KO entry is £5.
